I am a lecturer (tenured) at the Department of Philosophy at the Heinrich Heine University in Duesseldorf, Germany. Since 2022 I lead a cross-faculty program on ethics of science and bioethics at the HHU and serve as the managing director of the German Society for Philosophy of Science (GWP).

Before this project I was a postdoctoral research fellow with professor Gerhard Schurz at the chair for theoretical philosophy at the HHU and was the assistant director of the Duesseldorf Center for Logic and Philosophy of Science (DCLPS) at the HHU.

I obtained my doctoral degree in philosophy (Dr. phil., summa cum laude) in 2018 from the HHU with a thesis about the concept of good scientific practice in biomedical research. My research interests lie in the intersection of research ethics and bioethics. I am especially interested in good scientific practice in biomedical research, ethical implications and responsible regulation of human genome editing and the denial of virological and epidemiological evidence.

I like to run, read, and cook.
